Windows 7 32 bit upgrade to 64 bit

I am currently running on a Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit 1Gig memory. I just upgraded my memory to 2 gig. I want to know if I can upgrade my system to 64bit now that I have a 2Gig memory. Thanks

Technically you cannot "upgrade". You have to start with a clean install.

While you can run 64-bit with 2GB of RAM...there really isn't much point. I'd say unless you have 4GB of RAM or more...I wouldn't bother with 64-bit.

I have one running 64 bit with 3GB and another with 4GB. You can notice a difference with the extra 1GB. Would not try it with 2GB myself. GL :)
