    Ctrl Alt Del on Logon

    Hi Guys

    Could use some help.

    Here is my situation.

I have just added an employee onto the domain after formatting and re-configuring her new machine. Once added i rebooted to configure the new settings.

On start up i get hit with the crtl alt del safety prompt, but here is the snag. when i hit ctrl alt del, nothing happens. There were no previous indications that the buttons themselves were having any issues.

I have explored a few alternative options thus far, but no luck ?

    Anyone ?

    Regards
    Rob

    Hey Rob,

Have you tried booting it up with a PS/2 keyboard? I know when I set up new machines, specially if I use images, It can take quite a while before the machine recognizes the USB keyboards. If you boot up with both USB and PS/2 keyboards, then you should be able to get in to windows, and let windows configure the USB drivers.

Let me know how it goes.

    Cheers

You may have to leave the USB unplugged while it boots, plug it in once it hits the ctrl alt del screen. let it sit 2-3 minutes it should find and install the drivers it needs by then. Let me know if that works.
