they are more worried about folk who are using loaders for activation.
Exactly, which is why your banning was ridickerous. You weren't asking anything about bypassing activation. If anything, the only industry it huts is the blank disc market, because we don't need to burn several discs now.

Didn't get much help from them about anything anyway

Then install with Product Key on COA sticker, which requires a robocall to MS during activation to sort your key from batch.
I've clean-installed ten OEM laptops that shipped with Windows 7, and I haven't had to call in anoy of them using the keys on the COA stickers.

I have 2 other pc's win7 home pre OA AND 1 PRO COA i have never called up to activate when ever i had clean install.

but i think it because it 'registered' if you like with the hardware/mobo.

I'm guesings this action, like changing the number of TechNet key given, is the result of actions by those with malice/larceny in their hearts.

I've deleted the .cfg file so I end up with a universal install USB as mentioned here, I have keys for every install I do.

WSFers have love/support in their hearts, yet we must suffer too because of the bad bad people. Sometimes life just ain't fair.
