    Well done mate that was a surprise, you may want to disable your system restore though before you go any further as it will possibly eat up your remaining space if you don't.

    Well, it can be adjust down from the default value of 12%, which on a 40 GB drive is going to be about 5 GB - I'd adjust down to maybe like 5% which would be ~2 GB....
