    Trouble With Win7 64-bit (build 7100)

Hi - I'm sure there has been allot posts about this but here goes,

I've been running Win 7 64-bit (build 7100) for three weeks now and had no problems at all. I could run any game without any lag or causing it to crash.

The past weekend I had a LAN with my friends and tried to play with them but all the games I had on would cause my system to lag and then Lockup. I formated my HDD and installed a fresh copy of win 7 but still had the same issues. I though it might have been something on the network so I unplugged the cables and did a fresh installation again still nothing changed.

I then decided to scratch everything of my drives and download all the drivers for my gpu, headphones and sound. It's working better now but I still have the occasional system lockups and the system seems to run slower than it did.

I've done most of the latest important windows updates

Any advice or help would be appreciated

Try downloading the latest chipset drivers for your system, and check to see if you have the latest Bios for your Motherboard.

Make sure you get the 64-bit drivers, vista 64-bit will do.
