    Hiding program's on taskbar

I'd like to know if there's any way to hide taskbar program's.
Like I have Winamp installed. And everytime I hear music it show's in my taskbar and in my system tray.
    Also Messenger.
I'd like it to run in background but not to show on my taskbar.

Here's my bar right now and I'd like to hide the Winamp
sorry if I explained myself badly.

Winamp icons are easily hidden, but MSN, I'm not so sure about that.

Make sure that Winamp is active, then press cntrl+P to open preferences. Click general preferences, then un-tick the task bar and system tray. Notifications are easily hidden too.
