Burning 7201 x64 to DVD now..

I'm gonna run some HDD, GPU and system benchmarks on 7127 before I get rid of it to compare what the real difference is between the two.

I'd be very interested if you posted your comparison.
7127 was great I thought and it felt "snappier" than this (as they say) to me.

    cheers,j:)

Wow, it's a shame that the frame rates in Far Cry 2 are worse in Windows 7 than in Vista.
Win7 x64 boot times are better than Windows XP though, that's cool.

Too bad you can only take that lightly. Problem is that is only for that system, and as far as i saw half the 64bit tests didn't work. Another thing is that all those games were programmed for xp, so once things switch to windows 7 it should be a lot better.

    Windows 7 x64 Build 7201 (upgrade from 7100)

I've updated 2 PCs (both via Upgrade, rather than fresh installs) so far, and they've both worked flawlessly after. I'd like to note that one of the PCs was a netbook, and my WEI score actually went up by .5 (from 1.7 to 2.2, thanks to a CPU bump). Additionally, netbook got the x86 treatment, while the other PC got x64.

I'll be upgrading at least 2 more machines soon.
