Windows 7: can i give away my old copy of vista

All MS cares about is that the key is legit, and its only installed and in use on any 1 PC at any given time.

Is the 64 bit a Vista or Win 7? Did Win 7 come installed in your new PC?

the disk was a upgrade from vista 32 bit to vista 64 bit. but it is the full version.

I just hope you know that if you and your friend are using the same Key, that one day you will wake up to a blank screen.

Thank you for the clarification, since your not using Vista 32 or 64 then yes you can give it away with the key and he will be fine installing it
