Bleh. I already have Beta 1 installed on my machine and was just starting to install some applications. Now they have a public beta coming? So soon?

Hello XX55XX ,welcome to Se7en Forums!

You need to come around here more often; we've been talking about a public beta in the first or second week of January for over a month.

Thanks for the welcome! I appreciate it. So, Build 7000 is the public beta, and the keys haven't been released yet? Fair enough.

    Hello again.

No, the 7000 that everyone has now is not the official beta, it's a leaked version. You'll still have to install the "Official Beta" when it's released with the key that comes with it, at that time.

Would an *upgrade* be good, or would it have to be a clean install (format ect).

    Nello bambi.

It would be "best" to do a clean install; upgrades always break things.

I'm gonna need to reinstall the new beta instead of just getting a key for the public beta & setting it to my current 7000 build? That kinda sucks but at least I can use the transfer wizard to copy all data then reload the beta & transfer back my stuff.

BTW, I heard from a bird that things for M$ didn't go as planned, details when I have them.

I hate the hassle of formating, copying, re-copying back over and tryin to configure everything all over

Good thing i kept my XP on another HDD...
