Removing "Other user" from login page.

    Thank you for your assistance so far. I did a "system restore" and the issue has gone away - but that is not the point - I would still like to know what caused it. The only thing that I can think of - that changed - was I clicked "yes" when the "HP Protecttools" dialog came up, so I guess it installed or activated it.

    That is the only change that was made from one login to the next, where all of a sudden I have "Myself" and "Other user" coming up in the login page.

    I really cannot tell you what caused the problem. Perhaps if others come by they may have a suggestion.

    Hello,

    I have a similar problem as Truckman had.

    I ran a full scan on my system partition with antivirus.
    Then, I also scanned with the same partition with Malwarebytes.
    In registry there is no "Other user" to be delated.

    I also extecuted sfc /scannow but it showed no problems.

    I can still see unwanted "other user" account on window login.




    Please help me to get rid of this.
    I will be very grateful for any help.
