In my mind I would have expected a 3 year warranty to exceed $60 - $75 and easily be $100 option. For $40 it really is a no brainer.

I have an appointment with the Store Manager tomorrow at 1300hrs.
The 2nd in command, who I just talked to, seemed startled that I couldn't get the warranty. She will have the top dog call me tomorrow.
The saga goes on...........to be continued.
Boy it can be frustrating when dealing with the big box stores. LET THE BUYER BEWARE.
Your correct and about no warranty no sale.
Good luck
Ken
What would worry me is if you get the warranty and say 2 years later you need an expensive repair that they say that the warranty is not valid and the person who issued it made a mistake.
Kodi,
"they say that the warranty is not valid and the person who issued it made a mistake!"
That's what I was thinking.
I sent an e-mail to their corporate office and called and have an appointment with the head of the electronics dept tomorrow.
Like Ken said................No warranty .............no sale!!
Thanks everyone for letting me vent today!
Kodi
Once it is sold for that laptop or TV etc. they have to honor it.
Been there done that.
I think the one Sams person is wrong. I just read the entire warranty contract online no mention of new or refurb is mentioned.
Also HP sells "new" extended warrantys on all their lappys new or refurb no matter where you buy it.
As long as it is an HP authorized retailer not necessarily Flea Bay etc.
Amazon, newegg, Frys etc. on line.
You register your new product and they give you xx number of days to buy the extended warranty.
It is a shame one person is messing the thing up.
Also price that you pay detemines cost of extended warranty at Sams and Walmart.
$200 yesterday that is what the warranty is figured on.
On sale today $100 that is what the warranty is figured on.

You are correct in saying that the warranty for a on sale item is based on that sale figure.

Don't mess with the Howling Wolves!
