How to add additional start parameter to a pinned prgm?

Assume I pin a prgm to the Taskbar in Win7. How can I (later) add some additional start cmdline parameters for the launch of this program?

    Sample:

I pinned Windows Explorer. How can I add parameters like

    explorer.exe /n,/e,D:\work

Do I really have to create a shortcut first, then add the parms here in shortcut Properties and finally pin the shortcut?
I cannot believe this procedure is the only way.

Under WinXP I could directly right click on an icon on QuickLaunchBar and add the parms without problems.

This is not possible in Win7 any more

    you've answered your own question.

a pinned icon isn't the same as a simple shortcut, so can't be edited the same way.

Shift right-click will bring up the Property sheet. (the program must be closed for this to work)

Right click on the explorer icon, select windows explorer by right clicking on it, left click on properties then adjust "Target" as required.

Yes, as WillyWombat states. When you pin something to the start menu / taskbar, it is a pinned instance of a shortcut with special properties. If you right click it, you have at least 2 options - the shortcut itself and a command to unpin it. if you further right click the shortcut, then you get the standard context menu allowing you to edit the properties of the shortcut using the properties item.
