Cannot right-click files in Libraries

Hi,

I'm new here. I've search this forum for problems similar to mind but can't find one. I've also tried googling, but, can't find anything that's similar. Hope people here can give me some advice.

OS: Windows 7 Pro 32bit
Problem: Cannot right-click files in libraries.

I cannot right-click any file inside the Libraries folders or its subfolders. I can right-click the preview pane, the folders and the empty space inside the Libraries. But, I cannot right-click the files listed in it. I can also right-click files on desktop adn right-click the files in their actual location.

This is not my PC but my colleague's. So, I'm not very clear what happen before. According to her, she used to be able to right-click, but, later cannot. I've check another Windows 7 (same hardware, same OS) in the office and I can right-click the Libraries files.

Can anyone help? Is it a setting problem?

Hi mckillwashere.

Yes, I can right-click C: drive and all it's subfolders and all files in it. Only the files inside Libraries and its subfolders cannot.

Just check the Programs and Features section.

The programs installed after I handed the PC to her are

SmartView 3.1 - 2/11/2010 (note: I do not know when the earlier version was installed. This latest version was installed today, which was after the problem started).
Google Toolbar for Internet Explorer - 25/10/2010
Chinese Simplified Fonts Support for Adobe Reader - 13/10/2010
Microsoft Silverlight - 13/10/2010
Ken Rename 0.88 - 12/10/2010
PDFFill PDF Editor with FREE Writer and FREE Tools - 4/10/2010
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable - 4/10/2010

you can do System Restore using a restore point dated before you made this change to undo it.

I hope to use the restore point as the last resort so that it won't affect the other changes.

Hi mckillwashere,

I talk the user already. This problem started on around 29 Oct while Ken Renamer was installed on 12/10/2010. I don't think this is the cause.

I've uninstalled the Google Toolbar, but, problem still persist.
