Hi njnitehawk, welcome to the forums.

There are ways in which to reactivate certain Vista apps in Windows 7, just have a look at this tutorial.

    Windows Mail

There is also How to Install and Enable DreamScene in Windows 7 - WinMatrix and web filtering (IMO) has been replaced with Internet Explorer InPrivate Filtering - Turn On or Off but don't quote me on that

    Hope this helps :)

Additional: I don't think Microsoft will look into any Ultimate Extras untill Windows 7 is on the shelves.

    Sure

Its just telling you the win mail etc, are not part of the win 7 install. they are extras you can always get. The parental controls and ultimate extras are only included in the ultimate, and 1 or 2 others not in basic win 7. Not to worry. win mail is replacing outlook express which M$ is killing

Hope this helps and welcome. dont hesitatae to ask questions there are some very knowlegible people here
