Hello Shasta and welcome to the Forum. It will help if you could give us a bit more info about your computer. Desktop or laptop? Wireless keyboard or plug and play? You can add your system specs by going to "User CP" at the top of your log in screen and then in the left column edit specs.

Run antivirus scan A full scan
Download and scan with malwarebytes. The long scan after you update
    If negative, go to search
    type
    device manager
Look for any yellow warnings in device manager
    If good
    Update the keyboard driver.

After checking for infection using Rich's steps, if probs persist:

Can you get into the Event Viewer>Custom views>Admin to google repeat errors to see what is causing this? Type event in Start Search box.

Try SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Do you have a Win7 DVD installer for your version of Win7? If so, place it in drive and run a Repair Install

If not, make your Acer E Recovery DVD's, copy out your files and run Acer E Recovery: Acer Support - Frequently Asked Questions list for How to use Acer eRecovery

There is a possibility you have an infection that will require wiping the HD to reinstall using the Recovery disks. If so and probs persist after recovery, wipe the HD using free Partition Wizard bootable CD to reinstall with Recovery disks or clean reinstall with a Win7 installer for your version using the Product Key on the COA sticker on bottom.

You can write the Repair CD to a flash stick: install Ultra ISO trial version, open Repair ISO file on File tab, selelct Write Image file on Bootable tab, use Format button then Write: System Repair Disc - Create

If Startup Repair fails repeatedly, then backup your files and run your Recovery Disks or the Recovery Partition using keys given on first boot screen, in setup literature, or in your Manual on Support Downloads web page for your model.
