When I try to use command prompt to switch the computer into safe mode it first says "the command "bc" is not recognized as an internal or external command". (code) X/sources/bcdedit/set_safeboot_minimal (I didn't use underscores, I used spaces, please check this to see if I did it right.)
I tried it with the advice you gave me and its come up with "an unknown command was specified, try /bcdedit ? for a list of commands" (code: "X: sources/ bcdedit / set safeboot minimal" )
Well, I typed out the command line exactly how you posted it, and we got this as a result.
The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The system cannot find the file specified.
What to do now...
I have no other suggestions for safe mode.
If it were my computer after spending so much time, I would save my stuff and reinstall.
