My Web Studio good on XP crashes on 7

Hi i have Web Studio for building and maintaining my website. I was on No. 4 and it worked well on XP and 7. I have upgraded to 5 and works perfectly on my XP laptop but constantly crashes on 7. It does all sorts of strange things, the words I keep getting is 'Web Studio has stopped working, looking for a solution..' Any help would be great. (I tried reinstalling - no difference. Now I have exactly the same program file transferred from my laptop view memory stick, still problems). Thanks for reading this.

Hello jackie and welcome to the Forum. First thing I'd suggest is make sure your 7 computer meets the minimum requirements as found in the 5.0 User Manual:

    User Manual

    Attachment 111504

If you aren't sure what your system specs are, this free tool from Piriform called SPECCY should help you out. You can click each item in the left column for a detailed analysis of your machine.

Speccy - System Information - Free Download

Once you've determined if you meet the minimum specs, and if you're still having issues, you could try running 5.0 in Compatibility Mode.

Hi Thanks for trying to help. I have checked the info and seem to have everything. Ram is 4, it is plentium dula core 2.30 and 32 bit. I have just tried the compatability and that has made no difference. I actually ran it at the same XP pack that it was trying. Thanks

It looks like you've done everything right on your side of the equation. Might be a good time to check with Web Studio and see if they can offer any assistance.

Please post back and let us know what you find out from tech support. This seems like one of those mysterious situations where something should work but doesn't. I'm going to submit your problem to some more knowledgeable people here on the forum to see if they have any suggestions.
