Which File Controls Jump Lists?

If you remove a folder feom the Windows Explorer taskbar jump list, the folder never appears in the list again. That indicates there must be a file that remembers the names of the folders removed. Does anyone know what file that is?

I want to permit folders I previously removed to appear in the jump list again.

No. A shortcut change won't work. You can change the name, but not the address. I imagine it exists somewhere in c:\Windows or C:\Users\name\AppData, but I haven't found it yet.

The Jump Lists of Win Explorer on my PC do re-appear after being removed and visited again. In addition when using Ccleaner (set to clear Jump Lists) Re-visited folders re-appear without problem. See extract from Windows Help for Start & Jump Lists;
To clear lists

  1. Click to open Taskbar and Start Menu Properties.
  2. Click the Start Menu tab, and then do one of the following:
    • To prevent recently opened programs from appearing in the Start menu, clear the Store and display recently opened programs in the Start menu check box.
    • To clear recently opened files in the Jump Lists on the taskbar and Start menu, clear the Store and display recently opened items in the Start menu and the taskbar check box.
  3. Click OK.
To begin displaying recently opened programs and files again, select the check boxes, and then click OK.

That did it. Thanks much. I should have looked in the Help and Support and cleared them instead of trying to figure our were the lists were kept.

Jump lists show wrong file types?
Hi all! I've just recently began to use the jump lists more and more. In general they work fine but I use VectorWorks and I imported a .pdf into the application. Now the jump list only displays that imported .pdf but not the .vwx files native to that application. I'm pretty sure the jump list...
