Start windows automatically

Hi,

One of my PC's starts Windows automatically, but the other one stops and asks if I want to Start Windows normally etc - it stays on that screen for around 30 seconds and then starts up. How can I make this PC just start automatically without asking those questions just like the other one does?

Thanks.

Hi,

Are you running a dual-boot setup with Windows 7 and another OS? If you type msconfig into the start menu and click the 'Boot' tab you have options for timeout etc.

Hello Logman,

Are you shutting the said PC down properly?

If not, as an idea - - -

Go Start -> In the search box type "msconfig" (without quotes) -> click the first option called msconfig -> on the general tab, ensure that 'Normal Startup' is checked.

Post back if this does'nt help.

The window looks exactly the same as the image in the post above - I set it to 10 seconds so the delay will be less.

I had a look at the msconfig of the PC that boots automatically - it has the general tab set to 'selective startup' and the three items are checked - shall I try that?

Well they should have the 'normal startup' box checked and none of the others.
