At the end of the day, your objective is a stable system... Forensics are fun ... if you have the time for it ... However you have been kicking against the stones for two weeks now without any success.. A clean reinstall is called for if you really want to get back up and running ... That being said, this whole situation could have been resolved in 20 minutes had you made an image of your system drive as a part of your backup policy ... Good luck with your problem..

Don't forget to create an image as soon as you're up after the reinstall (with updated drivers etc) and ensure that you have a regular backup program in place

That sucks but sometimes you just have to do it. Most of us consider that as last resort when the rest will not work.
You had some of the best trying to get you fixed.

Anymore questions on clean install etc. give a shout.

When you get everything working again, put a system image backup somewhere that won't be accessed until the next time you have this problem.
