Windows 7: How come I can't remove read only from folders?

How come I can't remove read only from folders?

I noticed that under properties of my user name that read only is checked, I am the admin and the only one on my pc. I've unchecked it twice and it applies changes but when I go back in it is checked again? I've tries restarting thr computer but still no luck?

Hello Michael,

You might see if using Option Two in METHOD TWO of the tutorial below to remove the Read Only attribute from your user profile folder using a command prompt may be able to help.

Can't remove "read-only" attribute from folders or files
It started out with my microSD card - I tried to view the files on my computer and it said "the disk is write-protected" and wouldn't let me view anything. Default folders read only
:DI reset all my default file folders and found them in read only as I did it. Is that normal? I also found Dr Web instead of Saved Games in the name menu start up. . Ever grateful
