I've attached a screen shot I was wondering if this was normal,
if not, I was wondering how I could get it back to default

I have a hidden folder on my desktop called desktop.ini and inside there is a"My documents" Folder??

    Thanks for all your help!

    Welcome

Hidden folders were meant to be hidden
Hidden Files and Folders - Show or Hide
Then use my documents to keep your stuff.

I wonder how you did that, without doing it intentionally.

Can't you just copy it to the Documents library and then delete it from the .ini?

Well I been trying to fix a few thing here. I notice now I don't even have a folder named "My Documents" after I did the copy

I notice that most people have a folder named "my documents" under the Document library.

I think that is needed for older software compatability and there is some kinda redirection between documents and my doucments that is probably broken. hmmmm

I don't think that will be a problem. I hate this "My" anyhow. LOL
It is where it belongs, in the Library and that should work. Have a look in Properties whether it has a "Location" tab.

That's another thing I had noticed, the location tab was missing on all my folders, I just did a reboot and it changed it to "My Documents" and now I also have location back on my folders. I think we can call this one solved :)

    Thanks everyone who helped!
