You now have to switch from partition mode which is the default to Disk mode otherwise the MBR will not be restored and you will end up with a non bootable image
All software I tried was HD Clone I am going to try out the Acronis later today
So you didn't even bother trying the MS imaging solution............
I agree with mjf, give Microsoft's imaging a try before buying any software if you have not already. I used it many times myself before ever getting a problem.

I suggest HIren's Boot CD and Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image. Both work great. Also if you want a backup you can make an image with bigger compression and it takes a small amount of HD space, but it takes more time to be compressed.

Does Windows 7 install and works perfectly with 512 MB RAM?
I'd installed windows XP about 3 months ago because of a faulty RAM, and now would like to switch back to Windows 7. And now I have only 512 MB of RAM left. So, my question is that will windows 7 handle 512 MB perfectly or will it run slowly?
