    Can't log in w W7 Home I FF

I can log in to this forum just fine on my desktop with W7 Pro and Firefox. But with my new laptop (Toshiba Qosmio) which has W7 Home Premium (I'm about to upgrade to Pro cuz I can't stand the nanny shit) I can't log in. Sez I've entered an invalid username or password.

I could understand a fat fingered mistake once or twice...or even a Caps Lock error, but this is consistent.

    Any suggestions?

    Just this Forum?

First thing that pops into my head is that you had logged in to the forum on your desktop and left the "Remember me on this computer" box ticked, and then tried to log in on the laptop. Although "Remember me" just installs a cookie, I believe.

Let's start there anyway before we start to think about keyboard errors.

Before I answer negatively, I need a little clarification. Are you saying that I'm only allowed to be logged in from one computer and that if I have a cookie present on the desktop, I'm not allowed to log in from another?

    Edit:

Apparently it IS just this forum. I just tried logging in on a different forum and did so with no problems. I can also be logged in with 2 machines simultaneously on that forum.

I hate responses that say, "it's working now" with no explanation, but I have no explanation for why it's now working...other than to say that I CAN be logged in on two computers simultaneously with no problem...which makes sense to me. Just another one of life's little mysteries.

    Makes sense to me too.
Sometimes the only logical explanation to these things is Gremlins. Glad to see you got it worked out.
