(The current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM). Contact the manufacturer of your computer or video card for a WDDM-compatible driver.)

Run the Windows Upgrade Advisor and it will tell you what is wrong.

The two most popular graphics card mannufacturers ar nVidia and ATI. Seeing as you can't tell use which graphics card you have, go to each site (www.nvidia.com or www.ati.com) and download the latest drivers from each. nVidia and ATI drivers usually support many of their top products, so you won't have to worry about having to pick the exact model you're using.

    I'd suggest trying nVidia first.

When you attempt installation, the driver installer should detect if the appropriate supported hardware is present. If not, the installer will fail, in which case you can try the next one.

Once you have successfully installed the appropriate driver, try turning Aero on again.

Type Device Manager into Start Search box, look at your Display Adapter, then go to the manufacturer's Support Download webpage for your computer model or the Adapter model to find the latest driver.

Check also for any Device in error with an ! exclamation mark and find its driver the same way, or post back here for help.

Continued failure of your WEI score to compute is a concern. Type Event Viewer in Start Search box, choose Custom Views>Administrative to google repeat errors to resolution.

Check also the Performance log located on the Advanced Tools page accessed by clicking the link next to the WEI score on Computer>Properties. While on the Tools page, look for cued issues at top, Generate a System Health Report.

Type Problems in the Start Search box to see if any Solutions have been sent for problems reported or not. Win7 is interactive in this way.
