    Trying to delete folder

    Hello,

You have helped me before with another post and I wonder whether you can assist me again. I try to delete a folder that exists in explorer (exists because I see it) but then I get the message that it is no more located in C:\users\etc from where I try to delete it. Verify the item’s location and try again.

Do not really understand what is going on. Why I get this message when the folder I am trying to delete is visible in explorer? And why I am able of renaming it but not deleting it?

For your information I am administrator and the owner of the folder I am trying to delete.

    Any help?

    Thanks.
    Christos

    Hello Christos,

Did you refresh (F5 or View/Refresh) the page to see if the ghost folder went away?

If so, then restart the computer to see if that may clear it.

If still not, then in Notepad , click on File and Open, navigates to where the folder is, and see if you may be able to delete it in a "Open" window.

    Hello Shawn,

Thanks for your quick reply. I have rebooted my computer several times but the ghost folder is still there. However, I tried a backup software that I have (SyncBackPro) and the software has deleted the folder… don’t really know how but the job was done.

Thank you again. (I have another problem but I will start a new thread because is not relevant to this one. The title is ‘Html & htm file icon missed”, in case you know the answer and would like to reply)

You're most welcome Christos. I'm happy to hear that you got it deleted. :)
