    You're using an old CRT monitor from the looks of it. I can't really tell if that pink blob is from you camera flash or not, but if that is what you're seeing, then the phosphor pixels in that part of the screen are burned out, or there is some kind of magnetic interference happening. You don't have something like maybe cellphone chargers or unshielded speakers near you computer, do you?

    Did you use the camera flash? If so, post another image, this time without the flash.

       Note
    When requesting assistance for a possible monitor issue, it is important that any images posted clearly show what YOU are seeing. For that reason, please use a digital camera (no flash) so that we can see what you are seeing. The problem with using screen capture software (Snipping Tool, etc) in these situations is that they capture the screen data BEFORE the display, and thus do not show any screen defects.
