I'll pass on 7 just as I passed on Vista. None of the new features really impress me that much.

If none of the new features impress you, what are the old ones in XP that do?

++ I'm all for sticking with XP if your hardware is not up to snuff or you're cash strapped, but to not upgrade based on "feature" makes no sense to me.

Just under the hood, things that the USER never sees, there are huge improvements in code between XP and Vista/Win 7. Anti-hacking measures, kernel optimizations, WDDM vs. XPDM, etc. are very noticable in the new OS's.

So does this mean you are unimpressed with life in general or do you just prefer MAC's?

What is your normal OS? Do you use *nix or OSX (which is officially a *nix, I know)? Are you still running DOS? I would think that at a minimum, increased OS security would impress.

What features in an OS would impress you? Is there an OS out there that impresses you?

I'm asking because I am really curious. I am not trying to mock you in any way. My wife is the same, she went from Win98, to XP to Vista, and could care less. So long as she could run her required apps, that's all that mattered.
