No....... actually the boot time doesnt seem too bad. But then...... its been a problem since the first time I up-graded so theres nothing to really compare it to. It boots much faster than vista did, but again i dont have a basis to compare. shut down seems to take forever sometimes.But I'm assuming thats just updates/applications configuring. Have just about resigned myself that's it's either a problem with the disc itself or a ghost in the machine. Thank you for the reply

I just re-installed (again) and yes .... it's still there.

Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

One more thing. The animation is always a little choppy on my computer even when it starts up fast. Maybe it's just normal.

Could be i guess. It does annoy me though, no joy even with yet ANOTHER reinstall. I'm done though..... guess I'll just learn to live with it.
