When I insert any type of media, cd, dvd, flash drive anything it doesn't show me that window anymore? Is there a way to fix this?

If it is checked, and still it is not working ,
First try SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker .

Then System Restore as Yowan suggested .

If still not working, try Repair Install .
