Settings the folder display to Small, Medium, Large, or Extra large will file them horizonatally across the screen with large images.

Is that what you were looking for?

OK I get it. They stack horizontally that way, but you want them to stack vertically at that size. Right?

The way you are describing it now is confusing.... You want them to be vertically stacked like when you choose the details setting, but with large icons right?

I will look into that now.

Alright. I have looked all around, and the only thing that I can come up with is to activate the Preview Panel, and set the view to List or Detail or whatever.

Yeah, sorry I have not found an answer yet. It does not seem very simple.
The idea with the preview panel (as I don't know why you want to do this) is to have the thumbnail for the pictures (or video) and still keep the vertical alignment. While this does not put the thumbnail the same way as the Large Icon setting, it does keep it vertical. I take it that is not what you wanted?

As to an actual solution...... I think it is possible. Maybe something in the registry. I will continue to look, as I am not very curious. If I find the answer, you will be the first to know (and I will make a Tut).

You might try an alternative to Explorer, such as one of the ones listed here:
