    Soon they will release a public beta for everyone to test before the main release. Perhaps they will have an RC1 or RC2 beta as well. Either way they will want to get the public involved so that they too will eventually purchase a copy of 7 for an x amount of money that will hopefully = something larger then it cost to create.

    This tells me that the beta will likely be public. No reason to tell people to not sign up unless they are planning on making it available to absolutely everyone. Otherwise, I'd think they'd want to at least hear from as many people as possible, to get a broad testing pool. Just wish they'd hurry up and release it!!
