Use the other disk, the one with the Product Key on it's envelope. Boot it using the steps I've given.

I have two Acer Upgrade kits so know them pretty well, unless you have something different.

I'm about to hit the sack so would like to get you going. If your disks have different labels, what do they say on them?

Put Acer Media in DVD drive, restart the computer, press repeatedly the F12 key to get a Boot Menu, select DVD drive to boot the disk.

If F12 boot menu is not enabled, reboot, enter BIOS setup by tapping F2 key, set Boot Order so DVD drive is first to boot, before HD. Save settings, reboot, press any key to boot DVD when prompted.

Will check back 11 am EST.

Then press F2 to enter BIOS setup, set DVD drive as first device to boot, before Hard Drive. Save Settings.

Restart, when prompted press any key to boot DVD.

Here is the tutorial: Boot from CD - How to Boot your Computer from a Bootable CD or DVD - Boot to CD

If your Acer is less than a year old, then you have tech support included. Call Acer tech support 800 number and they will walk you through clean reinstalling with the Upgrade Kit. The number may be on the Upgrade kit or its literature. If not it may be on the Serial Number plate on the computer, or Google it.

I've got to hit the sack now. Good luck, keep trying, post back what you need.

Follow the steps given and tutorials closely. Read them through several times.

Ask back any questions so someone here can help you if you are unsure or get stuck.
