explorer.exe file manager folder problem, auto scroll?
I am having issues with the way file trees open and scroll in Windows Explorer.
I have explorer configured to resemble the classic Windows file manager look; drive and directory tree on the left, files displayed in a detailed list format on the right.
When I click a folder in the tree to expand its contents, depending on the amount of items in that folder, the left pane usually scrolls. The problem I am having is that there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason to the scrolling method. Sometimes the folder I am working in jumps to the very top of the window, sometimes it jumps to the middle, sometimes it jumps all the way to the bottom. When it jumps to the bottom, I have to scroll both panes to see the contents.
Is there a way to mitigate this behavior? I'd rather the folder simply stay put, or maybe jump to the top of the window at the worst. Having it drop to the bottom of the window (which seems to be the case more than 70% of the time) gets annoying because I am constantly having to adjust and scroll to view the contents.
Thanks.
