    cannot double click

This might sound like a small problem but I am baffled.

I do not know what happened, but I can no longer double click to open my files on my desktop. Any folder , program or picture. However when I open internet explorer and surf the net, I have no problems with my links and such.

I have two profiles on my computer which is running windows 7 home premium and my profile is the one with the problem ,the other profile for gaming has no problems like this.
    Any help? I am stumped!!

    control panel/mouse/click speed?

Maybe it's set to super fast or super slow?

Click on Start and enter mouse. Click on Mouse under Control Panel.
See what the Double-click speed is set to. If it's to high (to far to the right), you may not be able to click fast enough to trigger it.

Rats! Took me to long to post that. brady beat me to it.
