See RAID - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most motherboards have what we call "fake RAID". Real RAID is better because it uses dedicated CPU and memory. Much more expensive though.
+1 Thanks much.

Thanks for the replies. So none of the stolen builds are legal? I have build 7100 and programs already installed on it. It would take me forever to do a fresh re-install of any of these builds and re-install my programs. I really just want to legal updates that will not expire until 2010.

That would be the RC then.

I don't think they are Illegal, but they are unofficial for sure. It is most likely that M$ leaks them on purpose, but we are never sure. I don't think we have ever gotten into trouble for using a leaked build.....

Thanks for the warm welcomes everybody.

I didn't realize that all the builds after 7100 are 'leaked unofficial builds'. So, if I go and download the RC again today from the MS download side I will just end up with 7100 again?

RAID is quite simple to install especially with Windows 7. Heck even if your hardware does not match the drivers that comes packaged in with Windows 7, you can load it up from a usb drive because Windows will stop during install and inform you of a hardware conflict and you just point it to the drivers you have on your usb stick and off you go...
Thanks for that info. Sounds like I can handle that.

New to the Win 7 Forums, a proper intro is in order!
Hi all. New to the forums so I'd thought I'd do a longer into than just the welcome forum. This will be more of a blog style entry (I've been told I do go on a bit at times!), but feel free to comment if you wish. First off; I'm no computer "techie" or expert. I'm just what I would...
