    How to block standard user from installing softwares.


    One of my Standard user is able to install softwares without administrator password. How can i block it.

    If he's only installing into his folders and no system files/services are involved, he might not need the admin password.
    To prevent that you'd have to alter his privileges.

    Hello Azeem,

    You could use AppLocker to create a rules to prevent that user from being able to run say .exe, .com, .msi, etc..... type files.

    My admin account is password protected. And he is able to install softwares in OS partition drive.

    Try Microsoft Management Console (type mmc in Start > Search).

    Control Panel - Add Local Group Policy Editor

    Well...check who's the owner of whatever he installed...change your Password and resrict his rights.
    If he's still able to do that he somehow activates the build in Admin, alters his rights, installs what he needs to and changes his account back to standard user, I suspect.
