Cannot delete edit modify rename or alter files in any way!?!?!?

    .REG files themselves are actually text files. :)

    So you can DL them and open them in a text editor. I /always/ do that to make sure it isn't adding anything "funny" :)

    TEWS post there is in fact merely the contents of the takeonwership.reg file loaded into notepad (or some text editor) if I'm not mistaken :)

    Like me, if you feel uncomfortable downloading unknown registry editors you can simply right click on the file/folder/drive you want to take ownership of, go to properties, select the security tab, click edit, and from there you'll see where you can change ownership.
