File explorer doesn't remember my position

Hi guys. I've noticed that, when I put my computer to sleep and wake it back up, if I have a file explorer window open with a large list of files (several pages of family pictures in a detailed list view), the window defaults to the first (top) file in the list -- if I am clicking through pictures several pages down, and then sleep/wake the computer, while the last file I clicked remains highlighted, I have to scroll all the way down to find it again. Any ideas on a fix?

What key do you press to wake the laptop up? Perhaps that is what is causing Explorer to act like this?

Its a desktop. Moving the mouse or pressing any key (I usually hit ctrl) wakes it up. And this is with the explorer window either minimized or with something else in focus, ie, explorer isn't the active window so the key press isn't affecting it.

Easiest fix is to stop using sleep mode. Let the screensaver and power settings control the system and disable hibernate.

I have a 750w power supply in the system and it sits idle for 18 hours a day... Would really hate to leave it on all the time, although I have in the past... My electrical bill feels the pain, as does my wallet. System slept just fine under XP. All my other (XP) systems sleep and wake just fine. Seems like maybe its a Win7 thing.
