Now I'm confused even more, then what the heck is Singularity? I thought that was the non-windows OS M$ is making?

I have not seen any official news from MS about Midori. Any other sites reporting on it could be correct about it, could be false. Since MS will not confirm anything there is no way to be certain so people just believe what they want.

Midori could not even exist.

There is no Windows 8 yet. It is fake news that you are getting. The latest Windows 7 build is 7268. I haven't got it yet.
