hi joelkat, and welcome to sevenforums,

windows 7 comes with a lot of drivers included, but to be extra safe, you could download any 7 network or modem drivers you need now, and stick them onto a spare partition or usb flash drive or whatever, just in case you find that you do need them after all.

make sure you get the right flavour - ie 32 or 64 bit depending on windows version you plan to install.

Probably not...install 7 and see. If it doesn't have a driver, it's a simple matter to find one and install.

how do you currently connect to the internet?

do you use a network cable to a router? wifi?

or do you have a usb modem?

which exact model of the presario? there are many...

if you can tell us, then we can advise on any downloads that may be necessary.

what i would do is go to the compaq/hp website, find your model, download any network and woreless drivers you can find for 32 or 64 bit version of windows, then store them on a safe place such as a usb flash drive.

then install windows - probably it will come with the right drivers, if not, just insert your usb drive, install the drivers for your network or wifi adapter, and you're away....
