When holding ctrl - left click'n'hold is sometimes "sticky"...

    Let me explain:

if I keep ctrl button pressed and then click and drag with left mouse button (selecting text or using photoshop) this drag is sometimes "sticky" - when I finally release the mouse button system does not stop dragging. It behaves as I would still hold the left mouse button pressed... To release it I need to click again.

    System: Windows 7 64bit
Mouse: bundled with logitech wireless desktop

    I've tried to uninstall logitech's drivers - didn't help...

    Any ideas?

    How old is the keyboard.
Is there a chance that juice, soda or any other liquid has been spilled.
What happens if you use a different keyboard or use the CTRL key on the other side?

keyboard-mice combo is fairly new (less then 12 months). And this "sticking" is definitely something not physical (like gluing keys with soda). The reason I am sure about this: it is a problem with software not recognizing the mouse button was released but it happens ONLY when a ctrl key on the keyboard is pressed.

Simple test I am using while checking if my attempts to fix this issue work:

open a page with text (word, notepad or a textual web page). Click at the beggining of a paragraph and drag down - selecting (highlighting) part of the text. Release mouse button and return with a cursor to the beginning of a paragraph.

If it works ok (everty time when ctrl button is not held in the process) then the text stays selected and mouse cursor returns to the start position. But if during this test I hold ctrl button then (once in around 5-10 times) when I release mouse button at the bottom of the paragraph and move the cursor up selection is changing (collapsing with a cursor, like the mouse button would still be pressed).

I have absolutely no problems with mouse buttons everywhere else. It kills me in the photoshop as ctrl-drag is used fairly often...

One more attempt to explain it: it works like a ClickLock option from Windows7 mouse control-panel applet, but it activates randomly only when ctrl button is being held...
