for me windows 7 build 7022 x86 was actually running fine, and had no intension to upgrade except when I got the 10 day warning that it will expire on july 1st, so I moved to 7260 x86. but later after hearing about how good the x64 version is, I started to get interested to try it and download build 7264 x64 but have yet to try it..

Why waste DVD-Rs when you can simply mount Windows 7 ISO with something like Daemon Tools Lite and then open Command Prompt with "Run As Administrator" and transfer your ISO 4GB USB stick using this command "**:\*.* /s/e/f **:\" "**" is the drive letter for ISO and USB stick.
I tried that method, apparently I have a P.O.S. thumb drive... it took over two hours to copy the ISO to the thumb and then it didn't work. Besides I only cooked two DVD+R discs. All the rest of the builds I tried were burnt to a DVD rewriteable using ImgBurn. Took about 12 minutes each time, and my rewriteables may be written to many times.

I thank you though for the tip!

A lot of people have used the method you describe with great success. My flash drive was just crappy and didn't work out well. I want to upgrade to a better 4GB thumb drive but can't afford it right now. Perhaps in a couple of months.

LOL, 7264 is the latest actual leak. So, most of us have stopped with that build also. :) 7268 leaked but it is the server version.
I see it takes another Texan to pick up on my twisted humor. LOL

    Actually I started with Build 7072, then 7100, 7201, 7227 and finally 7264.

I was just speculating on whether or not there would be a couple of changes between the RTM in July and the general public release in October. Especially since there had be so many builds in the last two months.

Besides, I can fade the heat with the best of them! :)
