I and others find WinDirStat useful for giving a graphical breakdown summary of disk usage.

Areas to check (just in case):
Restore Points
Control panel > System > system protection > Configure
will show the amount of space currently allowed for and used by restore points.

Disk Cleanup
To show how much space available by cleaning up the disk (eg. temp files)
Type Disk Cleanup in bottom search box
Selecting System files will show how much system related material can be cleaned up.

i had a 30 gig, just from OS and updates/ drivers everthying all together it was around 22gigs... probly all the updates and small downloads that take up more room than you expected, but you should obviously be able to see whats taking up that much...

I agree that temp and 'cleanup' files should be the first action, and may solve the problem.

First stop:Recycle Bin.

Also, you may want to consider either a larger SSD or installing your apps to a different partition. I have a separate partition for the majority of my installed apps and my system partition still manages to swallow up 45GB.
