    Beeping Problem

Hi, I'm new here and I need help regarding my PC. I've been getting continuous long beeping sounds lately. It seems to happen everytime I press multiple keys in my keyboard at the same time, which of course is unavoidable when you're playing games. Now everytime it happens, my keyboard wouldn't work properly, or sometimes it wouldn't work at all. Unplugging the keyboard doesn't stop the beeping, but it goes back to normal everytime the beeping stops. And I also noticed that my speaker produces low rumbling sounds everytime it happens.

I hope somebody could shed some light regarding this problem. Thanks in advance.

    P.S: I'm using a PS/2 keyboard.

    Hello Lynyrd, Welcome to SevenForums!!

If you would post up your system specs so that we can continue troubleshooting your issue. Also when did these issues occur? After installing drivers or software? Or is this a new system you have built. Typically beeping sounds come from your motherboard when it senses problems.

Once you post up system specs and give us more information as to when this started happening maybe we can come up with something :)

I'm not familiar with the PS/2 keyboard, but if you get a gaming keyboard the beeping should go away. Most new gaming keyboards have what is called 'Anti-Ghosting Technology'. Which is basically a fancy name for 'We got the beeping to go away'.

My recommendation is the Dell G15 Gaming Keyboard.

    That's the connection type...not the brand/model.

You don't need an over-priced gaming keyboard to solve this.

You may be thinking of the Logitech G15 Keyboard. Would that work...probably, but even the $10 Dell USB keyboards would work as well.

    Here's my specs:

    OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
    CPU Pentium(R) Dual Core CPU E5500 @ 2.80 GHz
    Motherboard ECS EliteGroup G31T-M7
    Memory 1 GB
    Graphics Card Intel GMA 3100
Sound Card VIA High Definition Audio
    Monitor(s) Displays SyncMaster CX155P
    Screen Resolution 1024x768
    Hard Drives Hitachi HDT721032SLA360 ATA
    Device
    OS Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit

Let me know if you need to know more. The long beeps started happening just very recently, I think it was just yesterday. Actually, it was beeping ever since I bought it, but it was only short beeps and it happens everytime I press some keys a little long while gaming. Also, this is quiet a new system, just bought it last month.

Beep Codes posed above are from the BIOS as the system is going through the POST routine. That isn't the issue the OP is having here. These beeps are from Windows, during a session in-game. I believe it is caused by StickyKeys, which is a feature built-in to Windows for this problem. It might be able to be disabled.
