aero causing windows to minimize

For some reason dwm.exe is now causing windows aero flickering issues in win 7 64 bit. When i mouse over an icon on the taskbar and the preview window pops up, after a few seconds there will be a split second flicker and the preview window will dissapear. When this happens, dwm.exe in task manager...

I use Windows Classic Look. Is it possible to integrate Aero's Close/Restore/Minimize buttons with that theme (i.e. replace the buttons in the screenshot with those used by the Aero theme)? Thank you.
