Windows 7: Reset all data about PC.

If you are trying to disguise the machine for some reason, and such reasons are invariably unlawful, then be warned that it is practically impossible without a great deal of time and effort and special tools coupled with the knowledge required to use them, and even then, any half way competent forensic analysis of a machine will show it has been disguised, and also usually recover the original data.

So, there is no sensible reason for a normal user to do this.

Basically, you are wasting your time.

The only way to do what you are describing, is to use a different machine...

When gaming on internet sites or other networks that allow more or less full access to your machine, it is extremely difficult to disguise it. You would have to spend a great deal of time and effort on it, and know exactly how to do it.

These things are far beyond the scope or abilities of any normal user.

Okay it sounds like what you are trying to to violates the Terms of Use for steam, and the fact you are trying to do it without them being able to find you makes it seem borderline illegal.

To change the serial or any such info of a hardware, eg, your graphics card, you'll have to flash its bios. But its too not applicable to all hardware stuffs. Infact, one's a computer has been used, it's nearly impossible to disguise it other than buying new stuffs or a whole new pc.
If any thing relies at software level to identify you, it can be done by restoring an image of the disc before the use of that 'thing' or wipe clean install of the OS.
However, if something 'ties' to your hardware for identification purpose, its impossible.

in fact for steam it just involves creating a new account. Me and some rl friends just wanted to do some sort of internet "rebirth" kind of thing but since its almost impossible we will just pass :\
