Cannot delete files! please help!

I copied an autocad 2006 file, i.e. a .dwg file from a friend's pendrive to my desktop, i dont know what happened but it seems to be corrupted, autocad does not opens the file, so i tried to delete it, the delete windows comes on and is stuck in the "calculating..." part!
why is this happening? and how can i delete the file ?

Right click on the taskbar. Start task Manager. Click on "Processes" Tab.

Look down the list to find the application and right click on it. Choose "End Process". Now delete the file. The file is obviously some sort of executable or macro file that runs when clicked.

Once you have stopped it, you can delete it.
