Has it ever booted into Windows 7 ? Is this a new install you are trying to put onto a machine as the RAM isn't much for a machine if it came with Windows 7.

I think this is a netbook that came with either Linux or Windows XP. There is no CD drive so installing Windows 7 is difficult to say the least. I think you need to copy the iso from an installation disc to a usb stick and install from there. The chances of succeeding first time look a bit remote!

I would upgrade RAM to 1gb before trying to run Win7 on that machine. With 512mb on a HP510 laptop I was not able to run an AV or any gadgets. Adding another 512 made all the difference and now it runs fine.

If you were able to install Win7 on there already, did it ever start up and run?

I have a test computer that runs Windows 7 and AV + installed programs on it just fine with 512MB, on a Netbook, I would have taken the ISO file, extracted it with 7-zip, move the file to a flash drive, move the file from the flash drive to the Netbook's HDD/SSD, and open the file folder of the extracted ISO and double-click setup to install Windows 7.
Has it booted before with Windows 7?
    What was the previous OS?
Are any hardware parts inside loose? (if you opened the case at any time)
