question on windows 7 starter

yeah hi i just got a mini dell laptop for my christmas gift this year and i would like to play games on it. Not the little games like checkers and that but actual games like you have to download for instance Perfect world, World of Warcraft and so on.
What i want to know is window 7 starter going to be able to handle them or is it just going to freeze up and crash?

Welcome
If they are some of the power hungry games, you will probably crash. The mini probably meets the minimum requirements and that means not a lot of memory etc.
Give us the specs and we can be more definitive.
But I do know that a starter will not do much.

i actually don't know the specs of the games but the one i was wanting to do is perfect world and you have to download it offline. It's a free game that i've been playing on my friends comp that's really addicting >>

He's asking for the notebook specs.

Try running one of these more challenging games to see.

First tame the factory bloatware following these steps so it doesn't throttle performance: HP laptop has used up all four primary partitions

I'm not really a gamer type, more of a tech guy. So I'd suggest downloading the game you most want to play to see how it runs.

sorry if this seems rude but i have had bad history with downloading stuff that i don't know about and ending up with virus's so i rather not download anything but my ORPG's since those i know are going to be safe

Windows 7 Starter
Hello All, I'm interested in peoples opinion of Windows 7 Starter. I'm am undecided as to whether install this or Linux Mint on my fathers PC. Are the requirement lower (and performance better), than Pro? He has 2GB RAM and a Celeron processor. Pro was terrible, very, very, slow.

Question for those with 7 starter on netbooks.
Has anybody noticed that the machines that used to run well with 1gb wont even update anymore? It keeps spitting out a error code when checking for updates and when you look it up they say its related to running out of ram when doing anything windows update related. Even with 2gb of ram it will pop...
